Morocco Itinerary: 6 days and 5 nights. During these 6 days and 5 nights from Marrakech, we will visit many excellent sites, including the High Atlas Mountains, the Canyons, the Kasbah of Ait-Ben-Haddou, and Amridil Kasbah, Rose Valley, and Dades Valley.
In addition, you will see the Draa Valley, the longest river in Morocco, Rissani, and the Sahara Desert. You will ride camels there, watch the beautiful sunrise and sunset, and sleep in a desert camp. You will also visit the Merzouga Desert region and meet nomads' families.
Upon arrival at Marrakech airport, our team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel or riad. You will then enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech's rich history and cultural landmarks. Highlights include the Koutoubia Mosque, El Badi Palace, Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs dating back to the 16th century, and the beautiful Majorelle Gardens.
After lunch, we will explore this vibrant city, strolling through its colorful souks and the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa, one of the best-known squares in Africa and the center of city activity and trade. Jemaa el-Fnaa has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1985 and serves as a link between Morocco’s past and present.
After breakfast, we will begin our 6-day Morocco itinerary on a journey across the Great High Atlas Mountains via the impressive Tizi n-Tichka Pass at an altitude of 2,300 meters. These mountains of the Atlas Mountains are home to small adobe villages and the life of their Berber inhabitants with all their traditional lifestyle.
Next, we will follow the route of the Thousand Kasbahs, passing through Skoura's impressive palm groves in the Skoura and Berber villages. We will also explore the famous Valley of Roses (Kelaa M'Gouna), known for cultivating Damask roses. We will stop at a local cooperative where you can see products such as creams, oils, and rose water.
Finally, we will arrive in the Dades Valley, where you will spend the night in a traditional Riad. Your stay includes a delicious dinner and breakfast.
We depart from the Boumalne Dades for the Todra Gorges in the morning. We cross incredible landscapes and stop in villages such as Tinjdad and Erfoud before reaching Merzouga.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, we will ride a camel across the Erg Chebbi dunes for approximately one and a half hours. We will pause to enjoy the breathtaking sunset before we reach our nomad desert camp in the dunes.
We will enjoy traditional Moroccan tea and a delicious dinner, followed by an evening of music from the local desert Berbers. You will spend the night in a comfortable desert camp under the stars.
In the morning, we will wake up early to enjoy the magic of the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast at the camp, we will return by camel or 4x4 (optional) to meet your driver.
We will visit the souks in Rissani and pass through Berber villages, such as Nkoub, where we will stop for lunch.
After lunch, we will drive to Ouarzazate, passing through the massive Draa Valley lined with palm trees. Our accommodation includes a delicious dinner and breakfast in Ouarzazate.
In the morning, we will begin our 6-day Morocco travel itinerary, starting with the option of visiting the Kasbah Taourirt and the Atlas Cinema Studios.
Next, we will tour the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, which boasts an impressive Kasbah and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. This historic site is also renowned as a filming location for movies such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia.
Afterward, we will cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech. Upon arrival in the afternoon, we will check into our Riad. You'll have free time to explore the city or visit a traditional hammam. You can also enjoy a delicious dinner at the vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa Square.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and a free day to explore Marrakech at your own pace. You can visit the local markets, relax at a café, or take a last stroll through the city. At the end of the day, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure, concluding our 6-day Morocco itinerary.
