p>We will meet at your riad at 8 a.m., and you'll start traveling southeast via the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop will be Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, one of the cleanest cities in Morocco. Then, towards the famous and largest cedar forest in Morocco, where you will see the Barbarian apes. Your journey continues along Midelt, the Capital of apples, where you can have lunch.
After the break, we will continue driving through the Ziz Gorges landscapes and Berber villages of Ziz Valley until we reach Erfoud, the land of fossils.
After a welcome glass of mint tea in Merzouga, you will embark on a camel ride to take you on an adventure in the dunes. You will enjoy an incredible sunset over the Erg Chebbi dunes. You will spend the night in an equipped desert camp, enjoying dinner and listening to drum music around the campfire.
After a typical local Moroccan breakfast, we leave Imilchil and drive to the magnificent Todra Gorge. As we enter, the vertical walls rise on either side. Here, you can enjoy a walk by the river's clear waters.
As we drive out of the canyon, you can see the traditional adobe Berber villages and the oases that will lead us south to the Sahara Desert. We will make stops so you can take photos as there are many amazing views.
We will pass through Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, where you will see the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. The landscapes change as the desert adventure beckons us on; Merzouga is our next stop, where our camels are waiting.
They will take you across the golden dunes to your luxury desert camp for the night. This is a wonderful experience. The silence is profound, and the vista is quite incredible. It is a memory you will return to many times.
On the way to the camp, there will be a break to enjoy the magical moment when the sun sets over the dunes. The camp dinner will be served along with some local Berber music and an amazing blanket of stars overhead to wow you.
>After an early wake-up call, you can watch the breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes, as the golden colors shift and dance across the sands, creating an unforgettable scene. The silence of the desert enhances the moment as we ride the camels back to Merzouga.
In Merzouga, you’ll have time to shower and enjoy a delicious traditional Moroccan breakfast before we begin our journey back to Fes. Our return takes a different scenic route through Erfoud, famous as the Fossil Capital of Morocco, offering a chance to visit one of the fossil workshops if desired.
We continue through the picturesque Ziz Valley, known for its lush palm groves and ancient kasbahs, then pass through Azrou in the Middle Atlas Mountains. We arrive in Fes in the early evening, where your 3-day desert tour from Fes to Merzouga ends with a drop-off at your riad.
