Upon arrival at Tangier Airport or Port, you will meet your driver and depart towards Chefchaouen, the famous blue city of Morocco in the Rif Mountains. On the way to Chefchaouen, you will see small villages along the Rif Mountains; in the afternoon, we will arrive in this beautiful blue city, where you will start exploring the Medina and its alleys. Chefchaouen is a lovely, unique city with white-washed walls, blue doors, and windows. Overnight accommodation in a Riad. Breakfast included.
After breakfast in the Riad, our journey starts towards Volubilis, crossing Ouazzane municipality and other Rif villages. In Volubilis, a World Heritage Site, we will discover the Roman ruins and learn about the archaeological significance of this site in Moroccan history.
After visiting the ruins, we will drive to Meknes, where we will stop at Bab Mansour Gate, one of the most significant gates in Morocco, and Moulay Ismail Tomb. After lunch, we drive to Fes, where we will spend a night in a riad in the Medina. Overnight accommodation in Riad (Bed & Breakfast Option).
After a delicious breakfast in your Riad, you will explore Fes with a knowledgeable tour guide. You will visit the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloude), the Royal Palace Gates, the Jewish Quarter, and the mullah. You will stop at a panoramic view of Fes el-Bali (oldest Fes), then the pottery factory where craftsmanship speaks loudly with the beautiful ceramics.
After that, you will start the walking tour with your guide through the vibrant old Medina with its labyrinthine alleys, where you will visit the many hidden treasures that only the inhabitants know about. Fes served as Morocco's capital for more than 350 years and is home to the University of Al Karaouine, the oldest operating university in the world. It also has alleyways, museums, Koranic Schools, tanneries, and a Souk.
After lunch, you will drive to Midelt through Ifrane, Morocco's Switzerland, and the Azrou cedar forest to see Barbarian apes. You will stay overnight in Midelt, with overnight accommodation in a hotel, dinner, and breakfast.
After breakfast in the Riad, we will start our private journey to Merzouga Desert via the Middle Atlas Mountains and Ziz Valley, where we will stop for pictures at a nice panoramic view. Then we will arrive in Erfoud, "The Fossil & the Date Capital." We will have lunch there before continuing our journey towards Merzouga Desert to prepare ourselves for an unforgettable experience.
Once in Merzouga, we will be ready to take our camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes to spend the night in the desert and enjoy a stunning sunset. Overnight accommodation will be in a luxury desert camp, where you will experience authentic Berber hospitality. The night includes a delicious dinner and breakfast in the desert, surrounded by the tranquility of the dunes.
Our staff will wake you early to watch the Sunrise in the Dunes. After showering and breakfast, you will return by camel or 4WD (optional) to Merzouga, where you will meet your driver-guide to start your journey towards Dades Valley via a small Berber village. Lunch will be in Tinjdad, and then we will drive to Todra Gorges, the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco, which are famous for trekking and climbing.
After that, we will continue to Dades Valley, where we will spend the night. Overnight accommodation will be in a hotel located in the heart of the valley, which includes a delicious dinner and breakfast.
After a warm breakfast at your hotel, we will start our Morocco tour by traveling to Ouarzazate via Kalaat Magouna, the Rose City, Thousand Kasbahs, and Skoura Oasis. Then we will reach Ouarzazate, also known as the "Hollywood of Africa", where many famous movies have been shot, including Gladiator, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones, among others.
After that, we will drive to visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After lunch, we will drive through the High Atlas Mountains on our way to Marrakech, where this desert tour from Tangier ends with a drop-off at your Riad in Marrakech.
