Your 7-day Morocco tour begins with a pickup from your Casablanca hotel or Mohammed V Airport. We drive first to the iconic Hassan II Mosque — the largest mosque in Africa and one of the few in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors. Its 210-meter minaret dominates the Atlantic coastline.
Afterward, we follow the coast north to Rabat, Morocco's capital and one of its four imperial cities. We visit the Hassan Tower, the unfinished 12th-century minaret that towers over the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas — a 12th-century fortress with Andalusian gardens and blue-and-white streets that feel like a miniature Chefchaouen.
In the afternoon, we leave the Atlantic behind and drive into the Rif Mountains, winding through cedar and oak forests to reach the Blue City of Chefchaouen by early evening. We check you into a charming riad in the medina, where you can step outside and immediately lose yourself in the famous blue-washed alleys.

This is the day that makes the 7-day itinerary superior to shorter tours. After breakfast, you have a full free day to explore Chefchaouen at your own pace — no driving, no schedule, just the blue city.
Wander the labyrinthine medina where every wall, door, and staircase is painted in shades of blue and white. Visit the Kasbah Museum (built in the 18th century) with its beautiful Andalusian gardens and ethnographic collection. Climb to the Spanish Mosque on the hill above town for panoramic views over the blue rooftops and the Rif Mountains. Relax at Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the main square lined with cafes serving mint tea and local goat cheese.
Chefchaouen was founded in 1471 as a fortress to fight the Portuguese and became home to Muslim and Jewish refugees from Spain — and the blue painting tradition is said to represent the sky and heaven. Today it is one of the most photogenic towns on Earth.

After breakfast, we bid farewell to the blue city and drive south through the rolling farmland of Ouazzane toward Volubilis — Morocco's most important Roman archaeological site and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Volubilis was the capital of the Roman province of Mauretania Tingitana in the 3rd century AD. Your local guide will walk you through the ruins, pointing out stunning mosaic floors depicting Orpheus and the Sea Goddess, the Triumphal Arch of Caracalla, the Capitol, and the Basilica. The site sits on a fertile plateau with sweeping views over the surrounding countryside.
After lunch, we drive 30 minutes to Meknes, the Ismaili capital and one of Morocco's four imperial cities. We visit Bab el-Mansour — considered the most beautiful gate in Morocco — the Sahrij Souani granary and stables built to feed Moulay Ismail's army, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail (one of the few shrines in Morocco open to non-Muslims).
By early evening, we arrive in Fes and check you into a traditional riad in the ancient medina.

Today you explore Fes el-Bali, the largest car-free urban area in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After breakfast, your certified local guide meets you at the riad.
We begin at the Royal Palace gate (Dar el-Makhzen) with its golden brass doors and intricate zellige tilework, then enter the medina through the Bab Bou Jeloud (Blue Gate). Highlights include:

This is the longest driving day of your 7-day Morocco tour — but also the most rewarding. After an early breakfast, we leave Fes and drive south into the Middle Atlas Mountains.
Our first stop is Ifrane, built by the French in 1929 with alpine architecture, clean streets, and a cool climate that earned it the nickname "Switzerland of Africa." We continue to the Azrou Cedar Forest, where you can see and feed Barbary macaques (wild monkeys) in their natural habitat. The ancient cedar trees here are over 400 years old.
We stop in Midelt for lunch — a town at 1,488 meters altitude, known for apples and dramatic mountain views. After lunch, the landscape changes dramatically as we descend through the Ziz Gorges and enter the Ziz Valley, home to 5 million date palms — Morocco's second-longest palm grove.
We pass through Errachidia and Erfoud (the fossil capital) before arriving in Merzouga by late afternoon. After mint tea at your hotel, meet your camel guide for the sunset trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. The 1 to 1.5 hour ride moves at a gentle pace, with a stop on a high dune to watch the sun disappear.
At the camp, settle into your private luxury tent with proper bed, solar electricity, and en-suite bathroom. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, followed by Berber drumming and dancing around the campfire. Climb the dunes afterward for stargazing in zero light pollution.

We wake you before dawn to watch the sunrise over Erg Chebbi — the silence and color shifts from purple to blazing orange are unforgettable. After breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4.
We visit Rissani, the ancient capital of the Tafilalet and birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. If today falls on a market day (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday), we explore the lively souk where donkeys carry goods through narrow alleys. We also visit a petrified marble workshop in Erfoud to see how 350-million-year-old fossils are polished into art.
Our journey continues to the Todra Gorge, where the river has carved 300-meter red cliff walls — a spectacular spot for a short walk. We stop for lunch in the palm groves of Tinghir.
In the afternoon, we drive to the Dades Valley, stopping at the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations and a panoramic viewpoint over the valley. Dinner and overnight at a riad/hotel in Boumalne Dades.

On the final day of your one-week Morocco trip, we drive the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward Marrakech. Our first stop is Kalaat M'gouna, the gateway to the Rose Valley, where natural rose water and cosmetics are produced. In May, the valley hosts the annual Rose Festival.
We continue through the palm oasis of Skoura and visit Kasbah Amridil — a classic example of southern Moroccan architecture. Then we reach Ait Ben Haddou, the iconic UNESCO World Heritage kasbah featured in Gladiator, Game of Thrones, Lawrence of Arabia, and The Mummy. Walk the ancient mud-brick lanes and climb to the rooftop for views over the Ounila Valley.
After lunch, we cross the Tizi N'Tichka Pass (2,260 meters) through the High Atlas Mountains — the highest mountain pass in Morocco. We stop at an argan oil cooperative to see how Morocco's "liquid gold" is produced by Berber women.
By late afternoon, we descend into Marrakech and drop you at your riad or the airport. Your 7-day Morocco tour ends with the buzz of Jemaa el-Fnaa just around the corner.

You get a full free day in Chefchaouen (which 5–6 day tours skip) and a relaxed desert experience. If you have 10+ days, you can add Essaouira or the south; if you have only 5 days, you will miss either the north or the desert.
The 7-day tour adds a full free day in Chefchaouen (Day 2). Our 6-day tour visits Chefchaouen for one night with limited free time. The 7-day version lets you explore the blue medina, hike to the Spanish Mosque, and relax at your own pace — making it far more enjoyable and the most popular choice for travelers who want the complete north-to-south experience.

You leave your main luggage at the hotel in Merzouga, and it is transported to the camp separately by 4×4. You only need to carry a small backpack with your essentials for the camel trek (toiletries, camera, warm layers, power bank). Your luggage will be waiting for you at the camp.
The camel trek is gentle — about 1 to 1.5 hours at a slow pace, led by an experienced handler. Most travelers find it far more comfortable than expected. If you prefer not to ride, we can drive you to the camp by 4×4 instead at no extra charge.
Light, breathable layers for warm days, a warm jacket or fleece for cold desert nights (temperatures can drop to 5°C even in spring), a scarf for sun and blowing sand, closed-toe shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a camera. Do not forget a power bank for charging your devices.
Spring and autumn nights are cool but pleasant (12–18°C). Winter nights (December–February) can drop close to freezing. Summer nights (June–August) are mild, but daytime heat reaches 45°C. Our luxury camp provides thick blankets and proper beds.
The best months are March to May and September to November. April and October are peak season. Summer (June–August) is very hot, especially in the desert, but manageable. Winter (December–February) has cold desert nights but pleasant days and snow-capped Atlas views. The single best window is late March to early April, when the Dades Valley almond trees are in bloom.
This is a fully private tour. Your group has its own vehicle, driver, and schedule. We do not place you in a shared group bus. This gives you complete flexibility with stops, timing, and photo opportunities.
Absolutely. This is one of our most family-booked tours. Children love feeding the monkeys in Azrou, the camel ride, sandboarding, and the campfire drumming. The extra day in Chefchaouen gives families time to rest between driving days. Baby seats are available on request.
We typically arrive in Marrakech by 6:00 PM. If you are flying out on Day 7, we recommend booking a flight that departs after 9:00 PM to allow time for transfer and check-in. Many travelers prefer to add an extra night in Marrakech to explore the medina before flying home.

This 7-day tour from Casablanca was the trip of a lifetime! Chefchaouen was absolutely magical with its blue-washed streets, and having a full day there made all the difference — we did not feel rushed at all. The guided tour of Fes was incredibly enriching. But the highlight was definitely the Sahara desert: camel riding at sunset, sleeping under the stars in a luxury camp, and waking up to a sunrise over the dunes was pure perfection. Ait Ben Haddou was the perfect finale. Our driver was professional, friendly, and made the long drives comfortable with great stops. What an incredible week exploring Morocco! The 7-day itinerary from Casablanca was perfectly balanced between cities, mountains, and desert. Chefchaouen was a highlight, and the Roman ruins of Volubilis were fascinating. Fes was like stepping back in time, and the Sahara desert was the absolute peak — camel trekking, sandboarding, and the most incredible starry night I have ever seen. Our guide was exceptional. This was worth every penny. If you are debating between 6 and 7 days, choose 7. You need that free day in the blue city.

I booked this 7-day Casablanca to Marrakech tour for my family, and it was the best decision! The kids absolutely loved the camel ride and the desert camp experience. This 7-day tour exceeded all our expectations! From the stunning Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca to the blue streets of Chefchaouen, every day brought something new and exciting. The guided tour of Fes was incredible — we learned so much about Moroccan history. But the highlight was definitely the Sahara desert: camel trekking, a beautiful sunset, and the most amazing night under the stars. We did the 6-day tour two years ago and loved it, so we came back with friends and booked the 7-day version this time. The extra day in Chefchaouen transformed the experience. Instead of arriving at night and leaving after breakfast, we had a full morning to hike to the Spanish Mosque, have a long lunch in the square, and shop for wool blankets.
